Yikes. What a day!

Poor wee Ben has been miserable this afternoon and he wouldn't nap - very out of character for him. I think he could be cutting another tooth. Poor kid. Finally after being awake for five hours he crashed out. Almost two hours later and he's still sleeping.

Here's my little sleeping snuggly cuddle lovey-dovey baby boy:

Ben's sitting on his own now!

He started sitting up a bit before we went on our trip, and he really honed the skill while we were away.

Here's a little video of Ben showing off his sitting skills. (Don't mind the poor quality... I took the video with my phone while we were away.)

Back from Alberta

Ben has been on his first plane trip. We went to Alberta for six days. He was great on the plane and people kept commenting on what a good baby he is. Lucky for me, since it was just the two of us.

We spent a few nights in Hinton, Alberta with my friend April and her daughter Cory. Here are a few pics from the trip.

Cutting tooth number two!

So Ben's first lower central incisor has completely cut through the gums, though it's very very low. Yesterday he was his happy self, but today he was a little grumpy again, so I took another close look and it appears that the second lower central incisor is cutting through. And both of them are right on time according to this Baby Anbesol tooth chart:

We're cutting our first tooth, folks!

Well, more like Ben is cutting his first tooth. But it really is a family experience.

Yesterday Ben was in a terrible mood, fussy during feedings, and seeming to be uncomfortable. We thought it was a result of his 6 month shots he'd had the day before, but nope - he's cutting his first tooth! It's his lower left central incisor. I suspect the right won't be far behind. Yay for our little man. :)

I'm not sure how long it'll take to push through completely, but the tooth is flush with the gumline right now and is visible. I can also feel it when he bites down on my finger. I sure hope it comes in quickly.

This should make our trip to Alberta fun.
