What Ben's into.

Ben has really gotten into his stuffed animals lately. Of course, he's not so much into feeding and caring for them as he is throwing them down stairs or knocking them off chairs or burying them in laundry, then exclaiming 'Oh no Lambie!' (or Baby Tad, or Pablo, or Mr. Googly-Eyes, etc.) before rescuing them from certain demise.

He also loves play doh. He can play with it for a good long while. Of course he's always challenging my sculpting skills by demanding me to create a car or a cat from a lump. He's not impressed by balls or snakes anymore.

And cars, of course. Loves cars, trains, planes, diggers, etc.

Ben and motorbikes

I don't think I ever noted this in my blog, so before I forget I wanted to jot it down.

When Ben was a newborn his 'witching hour' aka his 'fussy time' was around 5pm. The only thing that seemed to make him happy was holding him in front of us, facing outward, and making motorbike sounds as we zoomed him around the house. The things we do to soothe babies!

And when Ben was older, but still an infant, he would make his own 'motorbike' sounds while trying to fall asleep. I suppose it was his way of blocking external stimuli, like his own white noise. We always said Ben was 'riding the motorbike to dreamland.'

Day-uhn and Luh-LA

Is what Ben calls Daisy and Sasha, our cats.

Benjamin's a little 'cookie' monster...

Sort of.

Benjamin watches Sesame Street and so he's familiar with Cookie Monster, and more specifically, Cookie Monster's eating habits, i.e., shove cookie in face, eat frantically, bits of cookie fly everywhere. As a result Ben has started annoucing he's 'Cookie Monster' and eating in the same style, however, it's not cookies he eats in this fashion, it's brocolli.

I say whatever gets brocolli into the boy works for me!

Here's a little video...

My boy loves to dance!

And I really need to capture some video. It's just the cutest thing!

When a song comes on the radio or TV Ben grabs my hand and commands 'Mama dance!' He also does this to Daddy. And we always oblige. This morning found the three of us holding hands and dancing in the kitchen. So much fun! :)

Photos of Ben's "new" bedroom

This is Ben on his first morning waking up in his new bed. We hadn't yet received his night stand, so his his toy box served as a night stand that night.

A couple of shots of the room with all of the furniture.
A step stool at the foot of Ben's bed so he can get in and out. I also bought a matching shelf/peg hook thingy to go on the wall. It, along with a Cars poster, and some shelving, are waiting to be installed.
